Rules: version 2
Modal Memory » Devlog
This is not the newer version, but an alternative possibility of what the game might be. The other version is here:
Goal
The goal of this game is to show how good your memory is by having the most points at the end!
Rules
Setup
Shuffle then spread out all the square cards face down onto the table.
Three types of cards
There are three types of cards.
1. Sensory cards: these cards have only colored squares on them. They count as two cards!
2. Short-term cards: these have an animal, a number, and a color on them. They count as one card!
3. Long-term cards: these have only words on them. They count as two cards!
Play
- Choose one player to go first.
- Every turn you flip a card.
- If you get a sensory card: immediately hide it again and say which colors are on the card in order. If you say it right, you get the card. For example, for the above image you would say: red, yellow, red, blue, red, yellow, red, blue, red.
- If you get a short-term card: you must find another matching animal.
- If you get a long-term card: read it and put it face down somewhere close to you.
- Take turns until there are no more cards spread out on the table.
- Now try and remember the word on your long-term cards. If you get it wrong, the next player can try to remember yours.
- When all the long-term cards are taken, count your points. Sensory and long-term card count as two, short-term cards count as one.
End
The player with the most points wins!
